As part of our ongoing funded programme of Business Support Events being delivering to creative sector businesses located in and around Tunbridge Wells. This day-long event is focused on practical financial issues for SMEs and their owners and is split into 30 – 60 minutes sessions, you’re welcome to join us for one or more, depending on what best fits you.
Event Programme:
Changes to companies rules 14:00 – 15:00
This workshop is aimed at small business owners and is split into 10-15 minute subject sections including; pensions changes, flat rate VAT changes, micro-entity reporting and R&D Tax Credits. There will be a an opportunity to ask questions both during the group and after.
Personal taxes 16:00 – 17:00
Details of recent changes to tax rules, what to do about them and how to make them work for you. There will be a an opportunity to ask general questions during the group or raise more specific issues 1-2-1 afterwards.
30 minute Mortgage Surgery 09:30 – 13:00
Throughout the morning a Mortgage Advisor (recommended by a number of members here who’ve used them) will be on-site providing free 30 minute consultations. If you’re looking for you first mortgage as a self-employed person, trying to re-mortgage or wondering how best to split salary and dividends they’ll be able to offer practical advice tailored to you and in complete confidence. Sorry but because these are 1-2-1s there are just 7 places available.
Networking 17:00 – 18:00
We’ll end the day with a general debrief and relaxed networking during which we’ll also be talking about upcoming meet ups and events. We will also be offering the last places on the very successful and popular 1-2-1 business mentoring programme to those attending one or more of the day’s events.
All the above sessions are free to attend, open to both members of The House and those working in the local Creative Sector but places are limited for each so we will be booking them now on a first come first served basis.
